Article Posting Policy

 

BomberNation is a collaborative project between the Palmerton High School Newspaper, The Avenger, Palmerton High School Yearbook, L'Annuaire, and the Palmerton High School Video Club.

BomberNation is an accessible public forum which provides information and entertainment in addition to various viewpoints on debatable issues in the form of editorials, columns, pictures, videos, and artwork. The BomberNation student editorial board makes all decisions concerning content.  BomberNation will not publish any ads promoting sexual behavior, violence, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and/
or weapons. Unsigned editorials express the views of the majority of the editorial board.

 

As a responsible news source, BomberNation will not intentionally invade the privacy of any person and will make every effort to correctly spell names and make accurate class and position identifications. Accurate reporting of fact is a goal of the staff.

Opinions will be clearly marked and found on the editorial pages or as designated on other pages. Corrections will be published online or printed in the next issue when mistakes are found or brought to the attention of the staff. Letters to the editor are welcomed and will be published as space allows. Letters must be signed.

Commentaries and opinion columns are the expressed opinion of the author and not of BomberNation, The Avenger, L'Annuaire, or the Video Club. Furthermore, the opinions conveyed in this public forum are not necessarily those of the Palmerton Area School District, Administration, faculty or School Board of Directors, unless so attributed. Additionally, BomberNation refuses to print criticisms that are not constructive and supported by facts.

BomberNation will not publish anything deemed libelous, obscene, a disruption of the school process or in poor taste, in accordance with the Supreme Court’s justified standards. Rights are reserved to postpone, edit or withhold from publication anything submitted which does not meet specifications. The meaning of any submission will not be altered, but BomberNation reserves the right to correct spelling, grammar and punctuation when necessary.

BomberNation, The Avenger, L'Annuaire, and The Palmerton Video Club are members of the Pennsylvania School Press Association.
