Palmerton JV Baseball VS Bangor Game Coverage

On April 19, 2024 a JV baseball game occurred between the Palmerton Blue Bombers and the Bangor Slaters. As of 4/29 Palmerton Blue Bombers are 4-10 on the season while Bangor is 1-2. These two teams have played before this and saw Bangor getting the win 12-6. Some standout players for the Palmerton Blue Bombers include Kurt Jedrejczyk, who is batting a .421 average and a .450 OBP, Jared Grammes who is batting a .333 average, and a .439 OBP, and Greyson Ahner who is batting a .345 average and a .472 OBP.

Game Coverage

          In the 1st inning Palmerton started off strong with a few singles, and with two outs Luke Matsko scores on a wild pitch and Colton Becker gets another single to score Kurt Jedrejczyk Palmerton up 2-0. After that Gaige McGowan hits Colton Becker in and Chase Wilson reaches on error making it 3-0. After a Chase Wilson stolen base, Tegan Silfies hits a double to get the two runners in making it 5-0 Palmerton. After a Hit by Pitch and a walk bases are loaded for Jared Grammes who crushed a double to score two more runs the score is now 7-0. After a pitching change Kurt Jedrejczyk gets two more RBIs making it 9-0 and Greyson Ahner pops out to end the top of the first inning. In the bottom half of the inning Chase Wilson takes the bump for the Palmerton Blue Bombers and gets two quick outs before walking and hitting a batter but is able to strike out the next batter to get out of the jam, 9-0 Palmerton after one inning.

After a Colton Becker walk Gaige McGowan hits a double to make it 10-0 Palmerton. Chase Wilson gets hit by a pitch and Lucas Pompa hits a double to score two more runs, 12-0 Palmerton. Kurt Jedrejczyk collects another RBI and Greyson Ahner gets a double making the inning end at 15-0 Palmerton. Chase Wilson returns to the Pitching mound and throws a three up three down inning, 15-0 Palmerton after two.

In the top of the third inning Chase Wilson gets a single but nothing comes about of it. Chase Wilson comes back to try to finish his no-hitter which he does after a pop out, strike out, and ground out to make the final score 15-0 Palmerton.
